In 2017 the Koorie Youth Council (KYC) celebrated the fourth annual Koorie Youth Summit. The Summit is a place for young people to gather from around the state to connect with each other, discuss what is important, be proud, learn, share and celebrate our culture.
Young people account for more than 50 percent of our proud Aboriginal community and it is important that we continue to have a place to gather, meet, empower and inspire.
Our report captures the voices of delegates at the 2017 Koorie Youth Summit. By drawing together young people's stories and ideas, this is an important record to help communities and government understand Aboriginal young people's experiences and take action for change. This year, KYC has chosen to present our report using QWILR, an online reporting tool. This allows us to easily share our videos and photos with you captured at the Summit.
