Thinking about becoming a YACVic member? Wondering what it's all about? Here's a taste of the benefits.
1. Share our vision
Being a member of Victoria’s peak body for youth affairs connects you with a community passionate about building a positive future for young people who have their rights upheld and are valued as active participants.
Together we pursue social justice by maintaining a focus on those young people in our community who face disadvantage or marginalisation. We collaborate with young people, the youth sector, and our partner agencies to get the best results for young people – and our members are at the very heart of this collaboration.
2. Add your voice
YACVic members can access many opportunities to have their say on issues that are important to them, the youth sector, and young Victorians.
From contributing to policy submissions to attending consultations, panel discussions, and more, we actively seek – and create – ways for our members to be heard. This is especially important for young people for whom there aren’t as many platforms to influence change.
Just as much as we are invited to contribute to important conversations, we are all about starting these conversations too. See our program full of exciting opportunities to get involved.

3. Access exclusive networking opportunities
Gain a seat at some of the most influential tables in our sector and collaborate with experts – young and older – from all different backgrounds and experiences.
Our membership community is made up of key sector professionals, leading organisations, and a host of incredible young change-makers.
Just some of many organisational members include RMIT University, Victoria University, Berry Street, Melbourne City Mission and YMCA.
If you want to rub shoulders with the right people then becoming a member is the perfect next step.
4. Stay informed
As a peak body, we are always up to speed on the latest state-wide policy and research, as well as training and professional development opportunities – for young people and the sector that supports them.
We ensure our members are too, with regular communications designed to keep you in the loop with updates affecting you and the young people you work with. When we produce new resources and materials for better supporting young people, our members are also the first to know.
5. Share your news
We prioritise the needs of our members and will do our very best to ensure your voice is heard.
Advertise your own sector events and exciting developments with over 2,900 engaged YACVic supporters and youth sector professionals.
